ISAS Professional Development
ISAS is committed to providing enrichment opportunities for its members and to encouraging them to seek professional development outside of the Association. To this end, the Association provides conferences on an on-going basis for Admissions, Advancement, Beginning Teachers, Board Chairs, Business Managers, Division Heads, Technology Directors, Heads and Teachers. These conferences are designed by the members for the members and incorporate relevant topics for the groups served. ISAS convenes planning committees for each conference to establish themes and to find knowledgeable presenters who can provide stimulating content. The benefit to members is a variety of programming highlighting the latest research and trends for creating successful independent schools in the Southwest.

How do I register for a workshop?
Go to the ISAS Conferences, Meetings, Workshops calendar. A registration link is available for each event that is open for registration. Click on this link to access on-line registration.
What if I am registering more than one person?
If an event is open to more than one person from each school, all participants may be registered in the same transaction. After the first person is registered, the prompt will request additional attendees. Continue entering until all participants are registered.
How can I pay the registration fee?
The on-line registration system accepts both credit card and check payments. The system will give a mailing address for payment by check after the registration process is complete.
Will I receive a confirmation email?
Every transaction generates a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email, please notify Heather Junker at firstname.lastname@example.org
If I cannot attend, what should I do?
ISAS has a standard cancellation policy: “If a participant cancels within two weeks of any group-based program, any fees paid will be forfeited in their entirety as expenses will have been incurred for all registrants. On the rare occasion that ISAS can replace the canceling participant with another registrant, ISAS will refund fees paid less an administrative processing fee of $50.” To cancel your registration, please notify Heather Junker at email@example.com
Do conferences reach capacity?
There are occasions when conferences have a maximum capacity and/or the hotel room blocks are filled due to the popularity of an event. If this should happen, ISAS will establish a waiting list for the event and work with the hotel to try to secure additional rooms. This may not always be possible.
What if I am on the wait list?
ISAS will try to notify everyone on the waiting list of his/her status no later than one week prior to an event.
If I need to stay overnight what does ISAS do regarding hotel accommodations?
For the majority of its conferences, ISAS reserves blocks of rooms at a specific local hotel for a special group rate. The registration for each event will indicate if rooms have been reserved and give instructions for booking them. ISAS does not pay for individual hotel rooms for conference attendees.
Does ISAS cancel conferences?
There have been rare occasions when ISAS has cancelled conferences due to circumstances beyond its control such as extreme weather. In the event that a conference is cancelled, ISAS will do its best to refund registration fees to all participants. Hotel reservations are the responsibility of the individual attendees.
