Job Summary

TMI Episcopal seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Director of Admissions to begin in Spring 2026. This 12-month, full-time position reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and Financial Aid and plays a vital role in advancing the school’s enrollment strategy while delivering an exceptional experience to prospective families.

The ideal candidate brings strong database proficiency, demonstrated success using data to inform strategy, and outstanding interpersonal and interviewing skills. This individual will warmly and professionally guide students and families through each stage of the admission process while contributing to the school’s broader enrollment goals.

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective families from inquiry through enrollment, including managing communications, scheduling visits and tours, conducting student interviews, and providing thoughtful follow-up.
  • Create a welcoming, mission-aligned experience for families while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Oversee the Middle School Student Ambassador and Shadow Day Program, including selection, training, and coordination.
  • Serve on the Middle School Admissions and Scholarship Committees to review applicant files and support admissions decisions.
  • Strengthen and refine admissions systems and workflows, including inquiry management, event logistics, communication templates, and application review processes.
  • Partner in the development of strategic enrollment marketing and communications initiatives to grow and sustain the inquiry pipeline.
  • Collaborate across departments to support new student onboarding and transition communications.
  • Coordinate logistics for admissions testing (ISEE).
  • Manage admissions marketing materials and promotional inventory.
  • Maintain an engaged presence in the life of the school by attending key events and cultivating relationships within the community.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in admissions, education, or a related field; independent school experience preferred.
  • Experience with enrollment management databases such as Finalsite or Veracross is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Mail, Calendar, Docs, etc.)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proven capacity to anticipate departmental needs, multitask effectively, and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, build strong professional relationships, and embody a growth-oriented, mission-aligned mindset.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
