Alcuin School - Seeking Seasonal Head  and Assistant Middle School Tennis Coaches, Spring 2026

Job description:

Alcuin School (TAPPS 2A), in North Dallas, is accepting applications for Head and Assistant Middle School Tennis Coaches.

Schedule & Compensation:

• February 9-April 23
• Middle School Practices - Tues/Thurs 4:00-5:30pm
• Matches/Tournaments - Held on practices days and some Fridays. Matches may start earlier and end later than normal practices times.

• This is a part-time, seasonal, and stipend-based position. Pay based on level of experience.

Job Summary: 

The Alcuin Tennis Coach helps to develop student-athletes' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. They are responsible for executing practices, matches/tournaments, and administrative tasks as needed to ensure the success and positive experience of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct practice sessions.
• Provide instruction and feedback to student-athletes to improve their skills and performance.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Help organize and manage equipment, uniforms, and other team resources.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during practices and matches/tournaments.
• Attend all practices, matches/tournaments, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff.
• Uphold the school's policies, procedures, and athletic code of conduct.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience playing or coaching tennis.
• Strong understanding of tennis fundamentals and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the athletic department.
• Commitment to promoting a positive and respectful team culture.
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
• Must complete a background check and required training
