A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Spend every professional day working with our amazing fourth and fifth grade students, parents, and teachers in support of their journey at The Joy School.
• Lead a small division (50 - 65 students) where manageable size gives you the time and space to make a real impact.
• Assess and advocate for the unique needs of the upper elementary division. Broaden others' perspectives by helping them consider alternative viewpoints.
• Speak compassionately with parents and support them through their parenting journey of understanding their child as a unique learner.
• Collaborate with smart colleagues to problem-solve on behalf of students, teachers, and parents. Celebrate the successes of teachers, students, and parents as they grow in their self-awareness and sense of self.
• Build cohesive teams of parents, teachers, related professionals, and colleagues who will work together to support students academically, socially, and emotionally.
