Upper School Math Teacher
Phoenix Country Day School is seeking a full-time faculty member in the area of Upper School Mathematics for the 2026-2027 school year. The position requires the ability to teach a range of classes across the curriculum from Geometry through Calculus. In addition to teaching 4-5 class sections, faculty may also have the opportunity to teach an elective course in an area of expertise. A successful candidate will have experience teaching Mathematics in a rigorous academic environment, preferably at the secondary school level, and will be enthusiastic about working collaboratively with colleagues. We seek candidates who value developing nurturing relationships with students, are committed to every student's learning, are fluent in current pedagogy, and are actively working to improve their craft. Candidates must also model the qualities that we expect in our students: curiosity, perseverance, compassion, and integrity. Faculty members also serve as advisors to groups of 8-10 students, and are expected to also advise a student organization or club.
PCDS recognizes the value of a diverse faculty and staff, and actively seeks candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds. Highly qualified applicants will hold an advanced degree in Mathematics or a closely related field. Experience or interest in teaching business, finance, statistics, or related fields preferred but not required.
