The Admissions Officer is a key member of the Enrollment Management team, serving as both a relational partner to prospective families and a driver of the operational excellence that supports the admissions process. Positioned at the intersection of family engagement and admissions operations, this role ensures that prospective students move seamlessly from inquiry through enrollment while experiencing a high-touch, mission-aligned process. The Admission Officer plays a critical role in representing Bosque School, supporting applicant evaluation, and maintaining the integrity and momentum of the admissions cycle.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Applicant & Family Engagement (Partner to Assistant Director)

  • Serve as a key point of contact for families, providing the personalized, mission-aligned communication necessary to build deep institutional trust and sustained interest.
  • Lead and execute the daily campus visit experience; manage student and family preparation, high-touch hosting, and strategic coordination with faculty to ensure a seamless "Bosque experience.
  • Lead individualized student interviews and family meetings, providing an authentic representation of the school’s educational philosophy while professionally assessing student readiness and mission-fit.
  • Support the Assistant Director in the daily campus visit cycle, providing the professional coverage necessary to host families, lead tours, or manage "Buddy Day" logistics during peak recruitment periods.
  • Conduct yield-focused check-ins and strategic follow-up conversations to secure enrollment commitments and support the school’s class-composition goals.
  • Act as a resource for families navigating the decision-making process, answering complex questions with clarity, care, and institutional consistency.
  • Partner with admission ambassadors during tours and recruitment events to facilitate organic, peer-to-peer connections between prospective families and current community members.

 

Applicant Pool & Funnel Management

  • Proactively track and cultivate the progress of the applicant pool, providing the individualized oversight necessary to move families through the funnel and ensure all enrollment deadlines are met.
  • Serve as a core member of the Admission Committee; participate in comprehensive file reading and application review to provide an informed perspective on applicant-to-mission alignment.
  • Serve as a supportive resource for re-enrolling families during key transition points, contributing to retention-related conversations to ensure long-term community stability.

 

Operational Partnership & Admission Strategy

  • Partner with the Operations Coordinator to ensure all family interactions, application material, and engagement metrics are accurately documented in the CRM (Blackbaud/FinalSite) to support the Director’s predictive modeling.
  • Partner in the delivery of signature admission events (Open Houses, Information Sessions, etc) by providing the professional expertise and relational engagement necessary to bring event designs to life.
  • When assigned, represent Bosque School at school fairs, community programs, and recruitment events to expand the school's visibility and attract a diverse applicant pool.
  • Communicate real-time trends, family feedback, and market insights to DEM to support the continuous improvement of the admission cycle.
  • Contribute frontline feedback on admission messaging and digital content to ensure all materials resonate with the current needs and values of prospective families.

 

Community Engagement & Professional Practice

  • Participate actively in the life of the school and build a deep understanding of Bosque’s programs and culture.
  • Model professionalism, collaboration, and a commitment to equity, community, and inclusion.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and mission-aligned school community.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Previous experience in an independent school, university, or college setting, particularly in admission and enrollment management, student recruitment, or student life is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to produce professional, timely communications for diverse audiences.
  • High-level interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong connections with families and colleagues.
  • Customer-service oriented with a professional, responsive, and empathetic public-facing presence.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing complex, deadline-driven processes and multi-step logistics with accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including calendar and event coordination.
  • Technological proficiency in Google Suite and CRM/database systems; experience with FinalSite, Clarity, FACTS and Blackbaud is preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments while maintaining clear role accountability.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the capacity to provide high-level operational support during peak seasonal cycles.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive admission and financial aid information.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish is desirable.
