Job Summary:  Oversee and maintain the school's database systems. Manage configuration and security for third-party services, including Google Workspace. Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of our data. Provide essential support to administrative and academic staff.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and build programs and scripts in Visual Basic, PHP, Google Apps Script/JavaScript and PowerShell;
  • Administer Blackbaud SIS and LMS in support of stakeholders, including development of custom reports;
  • Maintain mail/Email lists in Blackbaud SIS and Google Workspace;
  • Provision and deprovision accounts in Blackbaud Core, Blackbaud FE-NXT, Blackbaud RE-NXT, Google Workspace, Active Directory, Zoom, Adobe Creative Suite, Spin.AI;
  • Train and support new and current employees on school-specific applications and tools;
  • Maintain records across database platforms;
  • Control access to databases;
  • Administer two XAMPP installations on Windows servers;
  • Take an active role in professional activities and attend relevant professional meetings and conferences;

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Blackbaud Core, Blackbaud SIS, Blackbaud LMS, Magnus Health, Google Workspace domain administration and Google Apps, Microsoft Office applications;
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages Visual Basic, PHP, Google Apps Script/JavaScript and PowerShell;
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet formulas and functions in Google Sheets and/or Excel;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality;
  • Demonstrated ability to work equally well with faculty and staff;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology field or equivalent technical aptitude and professional experience;
  • Five or more years experience working with database management;
  • Experience with administering Google Workspace applications and Blackbaud SIS and LMS.

 

Physical Requirements:

This job operates in a professional school environment and work is conducted in a wide variety of environments as found in all areas of the school.
