Middle School English Teacher
(position begins August 2026)
All Saints Episcopal School seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Middle School (6th - 8th) English teacher able to engage students in meaningful inquiry, critical thinking, problem solving, and collaborative exploration. The candidate should be versed in teaching multiple forms of writing and literary analysis while comfortable teaching all levels of Middle School English. Teachers at All Saints are expected to have a strong commitment to the students and the school community, working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting all aspects of school life. A positive attitude and an appreciation for the unique qualities for the age group are essential.
The ideal candidate should:
- Have a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in English, with an advanced degree, preferred
- Have a preferred three years of teaching experience, ideally in an independent school environment
- Possess a passion for working with children while demonstrating knowledge of best practices as an educator
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain a mastery of developmentally-appropriate instructional strategies
- Nurture enthusiasm for working in an academic environment that encourages students to seek their full potential
