Middle School Mathematics Teacher
Metairie Park Country Day School seeks an experienced and enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working with young people to fill the position of Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the 2026 school year. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Prior teaching experience and an advanced degree are preferred. This full-time, 10-month position includes a comprehensive benefits package along with all school-year holidays.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching four sections of Middle School Algebra I
- Developing differentiated lessons that provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the established curriculum to the needs of each student
- Collaborating with colleagues to coordinate and connect curricular goals
- Serving as an advisor to roughly a dozen students, monitoring the students' progress in all facets of school life, and assisting the students in making goals, plans, and decisions
- Communicating with parents about students’ progress
- Being an open and active participant in regular professional learning
- Being an active member of the Country Day community
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Head of School or a division principal
- Supporting the Mission of the school and its leadership
