Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and effective instruction across various high school grade levels.
- Create and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with departmental standards and student learning objectives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Mentor and guide students in their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and faculty to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Utilize technology effectively to enhance instruction and student learning (Google Apps proficiency required).
- Contribute to the vibrant life of the school through participation in extracurricular activities and events.
- Potential for coaching opportunities with a supplemental stipend.
- Attend occasional after-school, evening, or weekend events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject , Education, or a related field.
- Teacher certification or equivalent (preferred).
- Demonstrated classroom experience teaching.
- Proficiency in Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Gmail).
- Excellent verbal, visual, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Houston Christian High School.
