Chief Financial & Operations Officer

Ann & Nate Levine Academy, an inclusive, dynamic, Jewish day school, seeks a strategic, collaborative and experienced Chief Financial & Operations Officer (CFOO) to serve as a key member of the school leadership team. Reporting directly to the Head of School, the CFOO serves as a close advisor and thought partner to the Head of School, the Board of Trustees and other school leaders to advance the school’s financial sustainability, operational efficiency, strategic planning and long-term priorities.

Strategic Leadership

  • Assist the Head of School and Board of Trustees in long-range forecasting and strategic planning for the school.
  • Ensure strong stewardship of the school’s financial resources in close consultation with the Finance Committee.
  • Strive to embody the mission and values of the school and model them to others.
  • Partner with the Board’s Capital Campaign leadership team on all facets of architectural, financial, project management, and construction phases.

 

 

Financial Operations

  • Direct all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, cash management, investment, payroll, recordkeeping and reporting. 
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, capital fund analysis and long-range financial planning.
  • Partner with school leadership on tuition setting, financial aid allocation and compensation planning.
  • Design, implement, and maintain effective processes and internal controls that support efficiency, transparency and best practices. 
  • Oversee and prepare the annual financial audit to ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable nonprofit accounting standards. 
  • Collaborate with the advancement team to reconcile all donations and income generating resources.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing business office. 

 

Facilities Management

  • Provide oversight and management of campus operations, maintenance, auxiliary service and on-site vendors.
  • Work with the Head of School to develop long-range plans for capital improvements and maintenance to the school campus.
  • Oversees the technological infrastructure needs of the school.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing facilities team.
