Mission Statement

Rooted in the Episcopal tradition, All Saints Episcopal School educates the mind, body, and spirit, inspiring students to pursue excellence and live with purpose. The school nurtures both intellectual growth and moral character, encouraging students to discover and use their God-given gifts to enrich the world around them.

The result is a community where students thrive academically, spiritually, and personally and are exceptionally well-prepared for success in college and life beyond.

The School

Founded in 1976, All Saints Episcopal School has grown from its early beginnings as St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, serving 118 students and 11 faculty members, into a dynamic, thriving learning community that now spans from preschool through grade twelve. Anchored in its Episcopal identity and guided by a mission to educate the whole child, intellectually, spiritually, artistically, and physically. All Saints has spent nearly five decades cultivating excellence and character in its students.

From its move to the Wagley-donated campus in the early 1980s to the expansion of its Upper School and the graduation of its first senior class in 1997, All Saints has steadily evolved to meet the changing needs of its learners. Each decade has brought new opportunities for growth and innovation, including the construction of state-of-the-art academic, arts, and athletic facilities, the introduction of technology-rich Makerspaces and STEM Zones, and a growing emphasis on experiential and inquiry-based learning.

Today, All Saints Episcopal School stands among Texas’s leading independent schools; accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest and honored with membership in the prestigious Cum Laude Society. With a strong tradition of academic excellence, faith-based values, and community engagement, All Saints continues to prepare students to lead lives of purpose, integrity, and joy.

Academic Overview

At All Saints Episcopal School, education is a joyful, hands-on journey that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and character. From preschool through Upper School, our students learn to think critically, act compassionately, and lead with integrity, discovering their God-given gifts in an environment that values scholarship, creativity, and faith.

Early Learning

Our youngest learners begin their All Saints journey in a nurturing environment that encourages discovery through play, imagination, and exploration. Early learning teachers build the foundations of literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth while inspiring curiosity and a love of learning. Faith and community are woven throughout the day, helping each child feel known, loved, and valued as they take their first steps into school life.

Lower School

In the Lower School, curiosity becomes confidence as children engage in a rich blend of academic and hands-on learning. Core instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies is complemented by weekly enrichment in art, music, Spanish, faith formation, and physical education.

Innovative spaces like the Collaboratory, Oasis 4-D TinkerLab, Learning Farm, and Science Explorium transform learning into active discovery. Within their Learning Villages, students develop a deep sense of belonging and community while gaining the academic and interpersonal skills that prepare them for future success.

Middle School

The Middle School years (grades 6–8) are a time of growth, independence, and self-discovery. A rotating schedule, daily athletics, and strong fine arts programs provide balance between academic rigor and personal development. Students engage deeply with core subjects while exploring electives in visual and performing arts, world languages, and STEAM.

Programs such as the STEAM Zone and Outdoor Learning Center extend learning beyond the classroom, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Chapel, service learning, and leadership opportunities guide students toward empathy, resilience, and responsibility.

Upper School

The Upper School (grades 9–12) represents the culmination of an All Saints education where academic excellence meets purpose and possibility. Students pursue a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum that includes honors and Advanced Placement courses, achieving an impressive 85% AP pass rate and exceptional college outcomes.

The Center for Innovation—featuring the Fab Lab, Digi Studio, Idea Lab, and Entrepreneurial Café—empowers students to create, design, and lead. Alongside robust programs in athletics, fine arts, and service learning, Upper School students grow as thinkers, creators, and compassionate leaders prepared to make a lasting impact in college and beyond.

The Opportunity

A Visionary Initiative: The School for Learning Support

All Saints Episcopal School is embarking on an exciting new chapter; launching a dedicated program for bright, capable students who learn differently. Modeled on the extraordinarily successful Learning Center at The Lexington School, this “school within a school” will serve students in grades 1–8 who demonstrate average to advanced cognitive ability but experience dyslexia or other language-based learning differences.

Rooted in the science of structured literacy and guided by All Saints mission to educate the mind, body, and spirit, this program will provide a deeply individualized, research-based education that builds strong reading and writing skills, fosters self-confidence, and develops self-advocacy. Students will engage fully in the academic, artistic, and spiritual life of the larger school community discovering their strengths and finding joy in learning.

Leading this initiative will be the Director of Learning Support, a visionary educator charged with designing, launching, and sustaining the program. As the founding director, this leader will shape the mission, hire and mentor faculty, develop curriculum, partner with admissions, and form strong partnerships with families. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director will ensure that this new division becomes an integral and inspiring part of the All Saints academic ecosystem, one that embodies both innovation and inclusion, and transforms the lives of students who learn differently.

Core Responsibilities

Program Development: Design and implement a comprehensive, research-based literacy program grounded in the Orton-Gillingham approach and the science of reading. Establish instructional frameworks, curriculum maps, and schedules that ensure systematic, multisensory, and individualized learning experiences for each student.

Instructional Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and support a team of expert teachers who are passionate about serving students with dyslexia and related learning differences. Provide ongoing professional development, model best practices, and foster a culture of collaboration, reflection, and continual improvement.

Student Growth: Oversee individualized learning plans that target decoding, comprehension, written expression, math reasoning, and executive-functioning skills. Track and communicate progress using data-driven methods to ensure that each student meets measurable academic and personal growth goals.

Collaboration: Partner with classroom teachers, specialists, and school leaders to align instructional goals and ensure inclusion within the broader school community. Facilitate regular communication and shared accountability so that every student benefits from coordinated support.

Community Engagement: Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and families through transparent communication and shared goal-setting. Collaborate with outside professionals such as speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychologists and engage with regional and national organizations to strengthen the program’s expertise and visibility.

Assessment & Transitions: Develop and oversee systems for admissions screening, progress monitoring, and annual evaluations. Lead thoughtful transition planning to determine when students are ready to move into mainstream classrooms, ensuring continuity of support and long-term success.

The successful candidate will bring a proven record of designing or leading programs that serve students with dyslexia or other language-based learning differences, demonstrating both instructional mastery and the ability to inspire faculty and families. Warmth, empathy, and integrity must be matched by intellectual curiosity, lofty expectations, and strategic leadership. Above all, this person will believe that students who learn differently are not defined by their challenges, but by their creativity, resilience, and capacity to thrive when given the right environment and support.
