Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging and rigorous English instruction across various grade levels.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with departmental standards and fosters 21st-century skills.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical discourse.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, or a related field.
• Dual Credit, Advance Placement, or other classroom experience is very beneficial.
• Teacher certification or equivalent (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in high school English instruction.
• Proficiency in Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Gmail).
• Exceptional verbal, visual, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and presentation skills.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Houston Christian High School.
• A passion for teaching and inspiring students.
